Girls Empowerment Movement Inc (GEM) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose ultimate vision is the restoration and revitalization of the traditional Black family, the economic advancement of the Black community, and the reconstruction of a positive (self) image of Black girls and women within and amongst themselves, their male counterparts and outwardly as a group.
GEM is a consortium that develops, promotes and facilitates gender-specific and affirming programming, strategic partnerships, initiatives and experiences that are designed, curated and delivered with the unique culture, traditions and values of Black Americans and the diaspora at the core for ultimate scale and impact.
